we're Ready When You Are
Jacobs Plantation has been ground for the Southern wing shoot since 1840. We're not running a factory operation. We take one group at a time, so every hunt gets our full attention, from the first covey rise to the last bird in the bag. If you're looking for a real hunt on real ground, with dogs that know their business and guides who've walked this land for years, you've found the right place.
Our booking process
Reservations are required for every hunt. Tell us about your group and give us three preferred dates, either through the booking form on this site, by emailing [email protected], or by calling 912-590-2343.
We're open seven days a week and someone from Jacobs Plantation will reach out personally to confirm your hunt.
A $200 deposit per hunter is required to hold your reservation.
License and Reservations Required
Every hunter needs a Shooting Preserve License. You can purchase one in advance through the Georgia DNR at gohuntgeorgia.com. Licenses are good for two years, so if you've hunted with us recently, there's a good chance yours is still valid.
Upland bird season runs October 1st through March 31st. All packages are for the current season only, no rollovers, and must be purchased by a single individual rather than split across a group.
All visitors, hunters or not, are required to sign a Release of Liability Waiver before setting foot on the property.
Our policy
Each hunt package is priced per person. Guns can't be traded mid hunt to count as a single hunter. Every hunter in the field is charged as a hunter.
We keep our guide to hunter ratio tight, with a maximum of three hunters per guide on Quail and Excursion hunts, no exceptions. Continental Shoots require a minimum of four guides. A tip of $150 per guide is the standard we recommend.
Prices listed do not include gratuities or the 8% sales tax, and do not cover guns, ammo, orange vests, or custom orders.
